ATLANTA -- The Center for Investigative Action roamed the streets until late in the night after Thursday's free Screen on the Green showing at Piedmont Park. We were looking for any signs of trouble following the violence that erupted two weeks ago at the showing of "Transformers."
Last night's "Dream Girls" attracted a largely female audience that was quite subdued and left peacefully. Although there were groups of teens hanging around, they appeared to be causing no problems.
There was a large police presence, including a police helicopter overhead with a search light, uniformed and plain clothed officers on the ground, and security personal around the venue. This all follows the commotion and fighting that occured two weeks ago. Take a listen to the 911 tapes from June 3 in the video to the right.
Next week "Star Wars: A New Hope" will be shown. Hopefully it too will be a peaceful event.
